Ever wondered what happens to your old TV? What about all the items you put in your blue bag?

Celebrate Canadian Environment Week 2018 by taking a free guided tour of the Edmonton Waste Management Centre!

  • See what happens to your recyclables after they're collected
  • Explore the computer and e-waste recycling facility
  • Find out how your waste can be used to create compost and biofuels
  • Learn how decomposing garbage inside a landfill is used to create electricity
  • Discover what you can do to help keep waste out of landfill

Tours are 2 hours long and will be begin at the following times:

Wednesday June 6: 2pm and 5:30pm
Thursday June 7: 2pm and 5:30pm
Friday June 8: 2pm and 5:30pm
Saturday June 9: 10am and 1pm

Registration is required. Please call 780-496-5698 to reserve your seat. Adults and older children are welcome (age 9+).

Can’t join us during Environment week?

Individuals and small groups can join public tours held every Friday. For more information, visit edmonton.ca/learnaboutwaste or call 780-496-6879. Please note that these tours can fill several weeks in advance.
