What should I bring to a Reuse Fair?

The list below contains items typically accepted at most reuse fairs. This list varies from fair to fair depending on community needs. Consult the list of acceptable items for the fair nearest you as they are posted on this site.
- Campbell's Soup labels
- art supplies (e. g. crayons, brushes, paint, sponges)
- baskets (e. g. berry/tomato)
- eyeglasses and hearing aids and cases
- clean ice cream pails with/without lids.
- calendars with pictures only
- pull tabs from pop/beer cans
- corks
- onion bags
- sewing supplies (e. g. , material, buttons, ribbon, spools)
- pine cones
- useable envelopes
- books (e. g. paperbacks, magazines)
- jewelry and watches – broken
- craft supplies (e. g. beads, feathers, ribbon, pipe cleaners, popsicle sticks, wool & yarn, sea shells)
- film containers with lids
- material (e. g. jeans, leather, scraps)
- paper towel/gift wrap tubes
- prize ribbons
- cards (e. g. greeting and playing)
Did you know?
Reuse Fairs were formerly called Garbage Fairs or Reuse Roundups. The name has been changed to provide greater clarity and consistency with all reuse intiatives. Only the name has been changed; they are still same great community reuse events they've been since 1992.
