Reuse
Reuse means to use something again and again rather than only once. The goal of reuse is to keep using items as long as they have a function or value.
Choose to Reuse
Reuse Centre
The new permanent Reuse Centre collects everyday items five days a week, year round, and make them available to groups and individuals who will reuse them.
Bring items to a Reuse Fair
Formerly called Garbage Fairs and Reuse Roundups, Reuse Fairs are one day events where the public bring their unwanted household items to be donated to local organizations.
Reuse & Recycling Directory
Our Reuse & Recycling Directory has a list of charities, businesses and services that can take your unwanted household items and find someone who will put them to good use. Try it out and tell a friend!
Benefits of Reuse
- By reusing an item instead of throwing it out we save landfill space.
- Reuse saves resources and energy from being used to make new products.
- Reuse supports local charities and economy which keeps resources in our community.
- Reused items are more affordable and often unique.
