Malmo Plains Public Consultation

There were 77 homes flooded during the 2004 rainstorms in Malmo Plains. Drainage Services investigated and set up improvement plans for this neighbourhood.

Subsidy Program

For homeowners who have experienced basement flooding or whose dwellings were built before 1989, Drainage Services has a subsidy program to assist homeowners financially to install a backwater valve. For details about the program, check our Backwater Valve Subsidy Program webpage.
