Firefighter Recruitment Process
- To become an Edmonton firefighter, you must meet these job requirements.
- Submit an application online via the City of Edmonton career site, www.edmonton.ca/careers during the posting period. Next recruitment is expected to begin March 2010.
- Submit a , resume, and all supporting documentation in a sealed envelope to Human Resources - Fire Rescue Services, 10th Floor Century Place, 9803 102A Ave, Edmonton, AB T5J 3A3
- If your application is accepted, you will proceed through the following steps:
- Aptitude Test
- Physical Fitness Test
- Resume Evaluation
- Interview
- Reference Check
- Eligibility List
- Station Assessment
- Medical Assessment
- Threshold Knowledge Test
- Job-Related Testing
- Orientation/Mask Fit
- Recruit Training Program: Successful applicants enter into training as probationary firefighters.
