Earth Burial Options

For a traditional earth burial, the following arrangements need to be made. We are here to help you. Please contact us 48 business hours prior to the funeral so that we can ensure the site is prepared for burial.

Note: if you or someone in your family owns a family plot, please confirm plot ownership, and that there is space available. The plot owner must approve and sign for all arrangements. For more information, see Plot Ownership Transfers.

1. Cemetery Plot

You can choose a site that allows for an upright or flat grave marker.

Plot Configurations

A full size plot can accommodate 2 casket burials and up to 6 ash burials.

2. Opening and Closing of a Plot

There are costs associated with opening the gravesite to accommodate burial when the need arises. This includes meeting the family at the cemetery entrance, guiding them to the gravesite, dressing the grave and placement of the lowering device. The grave is covered once the ceremony is completed and the family departs.

3. Grave Liners

This is a concrete liner that surrounds the casket when it is placed in the grave. It is required by cemetery regulations for casket burials. This assists in minimizing safety issues surrounding sunken grounds and reducing the amount of maintenance required for future care in the cemetery. An alternative to the concrete liner is a vault, which can be supplied by the funeral home.

4. Grave Marker (optional)

This is a bronze or granite marker containing information about the individual(s) buried.

Prices: Monuments / Markers / Plaques

All installation fees include perpetual care of the marker foundation.
