Since 1995, Edmonton Transit Service (ETS) has operated the annual ETS Stuff a Bus campaign with its partners to help people who rely on the Food Bank during the holiday season. Each year, in late November or early December, buses visit Edmonton Save-On-Foods locations, where volunteers collect non-perishable food and cash donations for Edmonton's Food Bank. In 2018, 27,694 kilograms of non-perishable food and $22,030 in cash were collected from participating Save-On-Foods, transit centres and on the LRT.
ETS Stuff a Bus has collected over 500,000 kilograms of food and $460,000 in cash donations since inception to help feed Edmontonians in need. This campaign also supports the Strathcona Food Bank (with Strathcona County Transit) and Parkland Food Bank.
ETS thanks all of its partners and the Edmonton community for their generosity in helping drive out hunger.
