What's New?
Master Naturalist Program
This year, the Office of Natural Areas ran a new Master Naturalist Program, modeled on the City's existing and very successful Master Composter and Recycler Program. This program is an exciting opportunity for nature lovers who are interested in learning more about natural areas, ecology and naturalization in our city. The first class took place June 2 - 20, over nine evening and weekend sessions. Participants attended 35 hours of training and field trips, and will in turn volunteer for 35 hours in activities that support natural areas management, protection, and education in Edmonton.
Visit the Master Naturalist Program webpage for more information, or email Angela Hobson at angela.hobson@edmonton.ca, and stay tuned for details about the next Master Naturalist course, which will be offered in the spring of 2010!
