Mowing
Public parkland is mowed from two to twenty times per year depending on the type of land and growing conditions.
For example, Edmonton's premier fields and open spaces such as Commonwealth Stadium and William Hawrelak Park receive the most care because they have the most intensive use.
At the other end of the spectrum, undeveloped areas such as vacant lots and unused land are mowed only twice a year.
