TLC for Edmonton Downtown Alleys
The back alleys in Edmonton's downtown core are cleaner than ever thanks to Capital City Clean Up's Total Look of Clean (TLC) program.
Using an oversized litter vacuum, the City performs enhanced cleaning of the streets, sidewalks, back alleys and lanes from 100 Street to 101 Street and Jasper Avenue to 102 Avenue, including Rice Howard Way.
More than 200 businesses in the pilot area currently benefit from the TLC pilot program.

Benefits of this program include the following:
- Enticing more foot traffic in the area potentially generating new business opportunities in the side streets and alleys.
- New research into new waste management options to encourage recycling.
