Graffiti Prevention
Keep it Clean
Properties that have littered parking lots, graffiti, broken fences, overgrown landscapes and poor lighting suggest neglect and are prime targets of graffiti vandals. Keeping your property clean and maintained has a positive effect on the community and assists in deterring graffiti.
Speedy Removal
Quick removal of graffiti reinforces a positive message and enables property owners to protect their local community's image and sense of security and safety.
Control Access and Security to your Building
There are several ways to protect property from graffiti and more extreme acts of vandalism:
- Enhanced Lighting
Improving lighting on the exterior surface of the building serves as a natural form of surveillance. - Restricted Access
By incorporating shrubs and vines to the exterior plan of a building, you could restrict access to a potential graffiti wall.
Fences, controlled entrance and exits, rails and other barriers discourage unwanted foot traffic. - Roof Access
Roof access can be limited by moving dumpsters away from adjoining walls.
Covering drain pipes and ladders can prevent vandals from scaling up them. - Enhance Site Security
Stepping up security by installing a surveillance camera, security system or establishing a block patrol in your neighbourhood can reduce the incidents of graffiti, or improve overall safety within your local community.
