About Big Bin Events

Big Bin Events allow residents to dispose of household items too large for regular collection at no cost.

Events are held for 12 weekends each year from May to September at various locations throughout the city.

Thank you to everyone who volunteered at an event or who disposed of their large household waste items properly.

Did you know?

The 2009 Big Bin Events accepted 2,103 tonnes of material - the equivalent weight of 161 ETS buses. When these items are not dumped into our parks, river valley, and neighbourhoods, we all benefit.
