15 to Clean Challenge

15 to Clean Challenge is a community event designed to encourage everyone to take fifteen minutes (basically the length of a coffee break) out of their day to stop and run around outside and collect litter in their immediate area. 15 to Clean Challenge  

15 to Clean Week

Kick Off - April 23, 2012


Take just 15 minutes during your work lunch hour to pick up litter or report graffiti from April 23 to April 29 and you could win one of two computer tablets.

As part of the City’s spring cleanup activities, Capital City Clean Up encourages Edmonton residents to participate in the third annual 15 to Clean Challenge. All you have to do is spend a quarter hour to pick up litter or call 311 to report graffiti vandalism.

Free Cleanup Kits

Starting April 17, find free GLAD cleanup kits containing a garbage bag, glove and instructions for reporting at any Edmonton Public Library.

The GLAD Street Team will be handing out kits at the following locations:

Report and Win

To be entered in the computer tablet draws, report the time you spent, the number of bags filled and number of people who helped. Beginning April 23, 2012 visit the following link to register your 15 to Clean Challenge Clean Up.

Every Bit Counts

Last year 4,447 Edmonton residents filled the equivalent of 22 garbage trucks.
