A safe, decent, affordable place to live in on a long-term basis is a fundamental human need. Without such a place people can't realize their full potential. In consequence, the whole community loses out.

The City has a long-standing involvement in initiatives and strategies that address affordable and special housing issues.

  • City agencies and programs provide non-profit housing as well as referrals to community and government organizations working in the housing area
  • The City's Landlord and Tenant Advisory Board advises and informs on issues arising in the rental sector
