About Transit Oriented Development
Transit oriented development (TOD) is urban development that is planned and integrated with an LRT station at its core. In a TOD, housing, shopping, and employment are concentrated in a walkable and bikeable community within 400 metres – a five-minute walk in any direction – of the transit station.
Existing Conditions: south end of Park and Ride Lot and Commonwealth Stadium

Possible Future Conditions: new pedestrian and cyclist friendly street
The purpose of the Stadium Station TOD project is to create a development concept for the area based on the principles of TOD and to gain experience in comprehensive TOD planning to inform future activities.
