The Boyle Renaissance Advisory Committee
The City of Edmonton initiated discussions with representatives from community, social service and health care agencies on how to meet the housing, medical, cultural, social and recreational needs of downtown Edmontonians.
The Boyle Renaissance Advisory Committee was reconstituted in early 2009 to assist the City in shaping the Boyle Renaissance concept, address issues and concerns about the initiative and bring it to life.
The Boyle Renaissance Advisory Committee has a monthly newsletter that keeps citizens and others informed about latest project developments. The current newsletter, December 2009, features an article about a short history of the Boyle Street area created at the request of the BRAC committee as well as a brief biography of John Robert Boyle.
The previous newsletters can be found on the Boyle Renaissance Newsletters page.
Where Boyle Renaissance is
Approximately two and a half city blocks located between 95 Street and 96 Street, from 103A Avenue north to the LRT tracks.
Boyle Renaissance and The Quarters Downtown
Downtown will play a major part in the growth of Edmonton over the next 30 years. Up to 50,000 new residents could move downtown as our region grows. The Quarters Downtown is being planned with this growth in mind. Boyle Renaissance is part of that planning.
