St. Paddy’s Party – Get Your Green On

Welcome the first hints of spring this weekend. Celebrate St Patrick’s at the John Janzen Nature Centre with an afternoon of affordable “green” fun for the family.
Date: Sunday March 14, 2010
Time: 1 – 4pm
Location: John Janzen Nature Centre, Adjacent to Fort Edmonton Park (Whitemud Freeway and Fox Drive, access from Fox Drive)
Admission: regular admission
Do a jig along with the roving minstrels playing Irish tunes or search for clues to find the “pot o’ gold.” Experience hands-on fun in the sound garden or make your own leprechaun using household items. Have your face painted, visit with Shawna the Leprechaun and meet all the green animals who live at the Nature Centre.
If the weather cooperates, you can head out with one of our naturalists and explore the trails around the Nature Centre.
