School’s in at City Hall

For a fifth year the City of Edmonton invites residents and neighbourhood leaders to its Planning Academy – a series of five courses in urban design, land use and transportation planning.

The courses make city and urban planning easier to understand, and help participants get involved in the planning and development process.

The first Planning Academy course of the fall 2010 session is on September 14. People can sign up for one or more of the courses, including Come Plan with Us: Using Your Voice, Land Use Planning: The Big Picture, and Urban Design.

Register soon. Courses run evenings and weekends, and are limited to 40 people per course.

The City of Edmonton is committed to working with residents to promote good urban planning and help us all to create a more sustainable, compact and healthy city.
