Pre-sale of Reserved Transit Parking Spaces begins December 1, 2010

Edmonton Transit has contracted Impark to manage the Paid Park and Ride pilot project at LRT parking lots. The project begins January 1, 2011 and Impark will start pre-selling reserved parking spaces on December 1, 2010.

At a cost of $42.00 per month, reserved parking is available to ETS customers at Clareview, Belvedere, Stadium and Century Park LRT parking lots. Parking passes are non-transferable and valid for one specific parking lot. Reserved parking is in effect weekdays and statutory holidays. Parking is free to all customers on weekends and evenings. Parking in all lots is restricted to a maximum 24 hour limit.

Approximately 82% of the spaces in each of the four LRT lots remain free of charge. The Paid Parking pilot is available to customers who want the convenience of dedicated parking on weekdays. The revenue from the program will be used by transit to offset costs for ongoing maintenance of parking lot operations.
