Pamper Mom this Mother’s Day

May 02, 2011

So mom’s slept in and enjoyed breakfast in bed… what comes afterwards? Try spending the day with her and the rest of the family by checking out some of the special events at City of Edmonton Attractions.

Mother’s Day Magic – The Zoo Becomes A Spa!

Does your mom love animals, the outdoors and being pampered? If so, Mother’s Day Magic at the Edmonton Valley Zoo will be the perfect way to celebrate this special day. Guests will have the opportunity to sign up their mom for a complimentary mini manicure or a massage while enjoying a tasty delight.

While mom is off being pampered, the kids can watch some of their favorite animals get special spa treatments of their own, including mud baths, foot soaks and pedicures. They’ll also be entertained with some awesome live music and the Mother’s Day Magic show, while the little ones can take a break and discover the activities featured in the Safari Surprise.

Be sure to jump aboard the Edmonton Valley Zoo’s environmentally friendly train for a scenic tour around the zoo, and don’t forget to keep an eye out for the amazing animal encounters, fantastic face painting and educational animal talks. But most of all, make sure you visit the Edmonton Valley Zoo’s “Super Moms” and see just how wonderful animal moms can be.

Date: Saturday, May 7, Sunday, May 8
