Time: 2 to 8pm
Location: Clareview Recreation Centre, 3804–139 Avenue
The recreation facility and sports field construction is scheduled to start in the fall of 2010, with an anticipated opening date in 2013. Plans for the school and space for multicultural organizations are now under development.
The development on Clareview District Activity Park includes:
- Branch library
- Aquatic facilities and fitness centre
- Multi purpose gymnasium and programming spaces
- Existing twin pad arena will remain
- Sports fields
- Edmonton Catholic Schools completion high school
- Multicultural centre
- Pedestrian connection to the Clareview LRT station
- Spray park and/or playground and relocated skateboard park
The plans are the result of the medium-term recreation facility and sports field plan approved by City Council in 2007. The plan recommends the development of multi-purpose recreation facilities and district activity parks in geographic areas with populations ranging from 40,000 to 80,000 people.
