Will Edmonton be able to cope with any sudden environmental changes or disturbances in the future? How can we build Edmonton’s resilience and ensure its critical systems keep functioning while facing potential problems like diminished oil supply, severe weather and skyrocketing energy prices?
Join resiliency expert Craig Applegath as he discusses what it means to be a resilient city, identifies Edmonton’s strengths and weaknesses and discusses what we need to do to improve our resiliency.

Applegath is a founding member of ResilientCity.org and is a pioneer in the field of urban resilience. He is a Principal and architect with CohosEvamy in Toronto and is a founding board member of Sustainable Cities Canada and a current member of the Canadian Green Building Council.
