Highland Gathering is Dancing Back into Fort Edmonton

Kick up your heels and celebrate Scottish culture at the 21st annual Highland Gathering at Fort Edmonton Park. Enjoy feats of strength, traditional dancing, bagpipes, and experience the breathtaking sights and sounds of massed bands marching in unison.

Edmontonians from all backgrounds are invited to this celebration of Scottish culture. Cheer on the caber toss competitors, watch piping and drumming competitions, experience beautiful dance demonstrations, and enjoy a performance by Juno and Canadian Folk Music nominee Maria Dunn.
Sample haggis, play family games, and visit the merchant market to find your very own Scottish treasure. Two massed band marches—one down 1885 Street at midday, and one later to Blatchford Hangar—are sure to impress.
