Welcome winter with a smile! Our popular summer Green Shack playground program has made its way into your neighbourhood for the snowy season.
Snow Shacks are free drop-in programs for 6-12 years olds, offered in partnership with community leagues at playgrounds across the city. These programs offer fun indoor and outdoor activities including crafts, games, sports and drama.
Come dressed for the weather and be ready for winter adventures! Children under the age of six are welcome but must be supervised by their parent or guardian.

Winter Festivals
Beat the winter blues! Celebrate the season with the whole family and enjoy what Edmonton winters have to offer. Join us for indoor and outdoor activities such as snow painting, building snow people, showshoeing and more.

Winter Break Daycamps
The fun really heats up at these daycamps! Choose from a wide range offered at Recreation Facilities, Edmonton Valley Zoo and Fort Edmonton Park.
Kids aged 6-12 can try a new sport, strap on skates or make an ice cake treat for a favourite zoo resident. Or head back in time at Fort Edmonton Park and solve an Edmonton mystery! Early drop off is available at 8 am and late pick up until 5 pm.
