Take a break from winter and enjoy a tropical adventure this Family Day at the Muttart Conservatory.

Time: 1 – 4pm
Location: Muttart Conservatory, 9626 – 96A Street
Admission: regular admission
Escape to Treasure Island and spend Family Day in our green and glorious pyramids. Get the whole family into a tropical mood with hula dancers moving to the sounds of the Hawaiian Treasures, Edmonton’s own unique group of seniors who play steel guitars and ukuleles. Visit the Feature Pyramid and take in Love at First Sight, a profusion of colour in a romantic setting filled with flowers like azalea, cineraria, primula and cyclamen.
The kids can get their faces painted, craft their own parrot or butterfly, plant their own tropical plant, or play pirate games like Where’s me eyeball?, Treasure Dig and Preparing for Battle. There’s also the chance to visit some creatures from the Edmonton Valley Zoo or have a Treasure Island caricature drawn by artist Laurel Hawkswell.
