Back to School Isn’t Just for Kids
August 31, 2010
This fall let City of Edmonton programs inspire you to discover a new hobby, get fit or hone a new skill. With hundreds of unique adult programs to choose from, you’re sure to find the course that’s right for you!
Think Green! Get an Introduction to Indoor Herb Gardening at the Muttart Conservatory, or come and see what Backyard Composting and Grasscycling is all about at John Janzen Nature Centre. The Earth, and your taste buds, will thank you.
Think Health! Whether it’s Ballroom Dancing at the City Art Centre or Golden NIA, a fitness class for older adults, we offer something for everyone, to help you feel healthy this fall. And don’t forget our 15 pools around the City! Many offer adult swim lessons.
Think Creative! Develop your photography skills with various courses; learn the basic skills of Stained Glass work; or take up a traditional craft like crocheting or glass etching at Fort Edmonton Park. A huge array of classes is available for all skill levels, and hand-made crafts make great Christmas presents.
Think Delicious! At the end of it all-dip, paint and mold delicious treats using three types of chocolate and a number of different fillings in Chocolate Making at City Arts Centre. You’ll need a treat after all this learning!
There are hundreds more classes available this fall through the City of Edmonton.
