Public Meeting for Walker Neighbourhood to Reduce Residential Density
November 16, 2009
Date: Thursday November 19, 2009
Time: 7pm
Location: Menisa School, 933 Knottwood Road
Citizens are invited to discuss proposed amendments to the South East Area Structure Plan and the Walker Neighbourhood Structure Plan. The 4.6 ha area of amendment, located immediately east of 66 Street and south of Ellerslie Road and the storm water management facility, is identified for medium density residential and is currently zoned for low rise apartment housing.
The proposed amendment would designate this land low density residential in the NSP and amend the development statistics in both the NSP and ASP. It would facilitate the development of low density residential housing forms such as single and semi-detached housing. These amendments will result in a reduced population projection of 397 for the neighbourhood.
