City Invites Public to Grand Opening of New Fire Station

Edmonton Fire Rescue Services has a new station in Capilano and you are invited to help celebrate its grand opening along with Mayor Stephen Mandel, Fire Chief Ken Block, and Sparky the Dog.

Date:  Saturday November 28, 2009
Time:  11am to 1pm (official program is at 11:45am)
Location:  Station 11 – Capilano, 6110 98 Ave

There will be a free BBQ, emergency vehicles and fun activities for kids. Fire prevention officers will be on hand to provide safety tips for homeowners

Parking Instructions:

Visitors can park on the west side of Safeway in Capilano Mall’s parking lot. Once you have parked your vehicle, proceed west and follow the directions of the Edmonton Police Officers who will be on scene to direct pedestrian and vehicle traffic.
