Celebrate the Valley Zoo’s 50th Anniversary and Support its Future with On Safari 2009

Make it happen on the wild side and join the Valley Zoo as it celebrates its 50th anniversary with On Safari 2009. There will be music, dancing and other surprises from the past 50 years.
Come and meet Taiga and Amba the Zoo’s tiger cubs. Watch a painting demonstration by Lucy, the Valley Zoo’s Asian elephant and resident artist. Renowned local artist Lewis Lavoie will create the latest installment in his On Safari art series. The silent and live auctions will showcase some very unique products.
To top off the evening, 18 of Edmonton’s finest restaurants and businesses will offer tasty samplings.
The Vallley Zoo Development Society presents On Safari to raise funds for "Nature's Wild Backyard"; the next addition in the Zoo's master plan.
