Proposal for a Mixed-use High Density Residential Development - Boyle Street Neighbourhood

A public meeting is being held to discuss allowing the development of a comprehensive mixed-use, high density residential development within the Boyle Street Neighbourhood. This would require amending the Boyle Street/McCauley Area Redevelopment Plan (ARP), and rezoning properties located between 85 and 86 Street, north of Jasper Avenue, from (IM) Medium Industrial Zone and (RA9) High Rise Apartment Zone to (DC2) Site Specific Development Control Provision. The amendment proposes to increase the maximum height of the development from 45 metres to 110 metres. The development area is approximately 1.88 hectares, and will provide a maximum of 900 dwelling units.
The meeting is being hosted by the City of Edmonton. A brief presentation on the planning process and your opportunities to be involved in this process will be made. The applicant will present details regarding the proposal.
