ELEVATE asserts that the City, province, federal government and school boards must work with communities to overcome challenges created by aging and mature neighbourhoods.
Neighbourhoods go through life cycles. After a neighbourhood’s population peaks, it can go one of 3 ways:
- The neighbourhood may decline, as the population ages and no new families move in
- It can remain stable with enough new families moving in to offset the out migration
- It can continue to grow and thrive
Together we can:
Create innovative government partnerships and a channel for sustainable collaborative community planning.
