School Programs at the Archives

Glenora School students enjoy a history lesson at the City of Edmonton Archives

The goal of our programs is to give students an inside look at the broad range of information available at the City of Edmonton Archives, and to help them use this information to further their understanding of the curriculum. All of our programs include a behind-the-scenes tour of the Archives designed to help students gain a better understanding of the value of historical documents and how they are preserved and protected. Examples of original materials such as maps, photographs, memoirs, or scrapbooks will also be examined. The Archives' location within the Prince of Wales Armouries Heritage Centre allows for optional add-ons to the basic program, such as visits to the Loyal Edmonton Regiment Military Museum or the Telephone Historic Centre, or research time in the Archives reference room; programs can be adapted to your needs.
All programs are 2 hours in length and are available year round.

In order to book these programs, please refer to the Attractions booking page, or call 780-442-1442
