Financial Services provides strategic and technical advice and direct financial services to all departments, authorities, boards, and commissions of the City of Edmonton.
The department supports the Corporation's vision by providing the information necessary to make sound financial decisions and plan for the future, while meeting statutory financial reporting requirements.
Department Services
- Financial planning, strategy, and budgeting
- Investing the City's financial assets (e.g., the Ed Tel Endowment Fund)
- Accounting, financial analysis, and reporting
- Billing and collection of City revenues and paying the City's bills
- Infrastructure analysis, assessment, and funding.
