Canadian Urban Transit Association Transit Board Members Committee

Description/Purpose:

This is an intergovernmental committee established to provide opportunities for the exchange of information, ideas and experience, to identify current and emerging municipal issues of concern to the industry and provide assistance in resolving them, to raise awareness and promote the use of transit best practices throughout the municipal sector, to assure ongoing liaison with the Federation of Canadian Municipalities and provincial municipal associations, and to enhance the profile and voice of transit among municipal decision-makers nation wide, and to use this profie in advocating for transit at the provincial and federal levels.
