Online Bylaw Complaint Service
Please provide your name and contact number when you file a complaint, since we may need to contact you if more information is needed. Also, if a complaint leads to legal action you, as the witness, may be asked to appear in court.
Anonymous complaints will not be accepted.
The current online complaint services are:
- Snow/Ice on Sidewalk complaints are accepted between November 1 and May 1 when it has not snowed during the previous 48 hour period. Submit one online complaint for each address with a snow or ice concern.
- Report the location of a dead animal for removal from roadways or public land.
- A dog barking excessively.
- Excessive dog defecation on a property.
- An unlicenced dog or cat.
- An untidy or unsightly property.
- Noxious weed infestation. Dandelions and long grass are not included in this category. Complaints are only accepted between June 1 and September 28.
Note: Weed and snow complaints have seasonal time limits.
The information you provide is protected under the Freedom of Information and Privacy Act. Only the staff persons who need your information to do their work have access to it.
If a complaint is made, personal information may be collected under the authority of Section 33(c) of the Alberta Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act, Section 642 of the Municipal Government Act. The information will be used to process your complaint however your name and address will not be made available to the public.
