The Southwest Community Recreation Centre (2051 Leger Road) will be a dynamic space full of activity, energy and vitality. A place where all are welcome - a "community hub" where people of all ages and abilities can gather to learn, exercise, relax, meet and have fun.

SCRC and Leger Integrated Site update. Construction of the westbound turning lane at 23rd Ave is complete. Construction of the recreation centre continues on schedule. Foundation work on the arena complex has begun.
Call for RFPs: Operation of Southwest Community Recreation Centre 4-Pad Arenas

An RFP was issued on June 18, 2009 to operate the 4 ice rinks at the new Southwest Community Recreation Centre. The RFP also provides flexibility to include the operation of other amenities - i.e. the pool or fitness centre, in their proposals.

Southwest Community Recreation Centre and Leger Integrated Site Project Update May 2009. Construction on the westbound turning lane at 23 Avenue has resumed and includes completion of signage, multi-use sidewalk construction and general landscaping.
Concept Design
The design is focused on creating a "social heart" for the community in southwest Edmonton. The facility is planned around a dynamic, central gathering space surrounded by community activity spaces.
Partners and Stakeholders
There are many partners and stakeholders supporting the Southwest Community Recreation Centre project. The City of Edmonton recognizes this, and is very appreciative of the significant contributions and support provided by all of the involved groups and organizations.
