Race Package Pick-up
Location: United Cycle, 7620 Gateway Boulevard
Dates & Times: Friday, May 25, 6-8pm and Saturday, May 26, 2-4pm
Event Age Categories
The single event category will award medals for the top 3 placements in each category based on age and gender. Medals will be awarded for the top 3 teams and their overall placement.
Age divisions are as follows:
- 16-18 years
- 19-29 years
- 30-39 years
- 40-49 years
- 50-59 years
- 60-69 years
- 70+ years
Pre-Race Briefing
An optional race information session for participants will be held at Peter Hemingway Fitness and Leisure Center (13808 111 Ave) Saturday, May 26, 2012 from 4-5pm.
Note: The parking lot at Peter Hemingway will be closed for set up starting at noon on Saturday, May 26, 2012.
Ensure Your Bike is Race-Ready
Make sure your bike is ready to ride for race day with the Exclusive offer from United Cycle. Bring your bike in before May 10, 2012 and receive a full bike check, adjustment and tune-up for only $60. In addition, receive 10% off any parts required.
Race Day
The Transition Area in the Peter Hemingway parking lot opens at 5:30am on Sunday, May 27, 2012. The race starts at 7am, and the course closes at 2pm. Please try to register a minimum of 1 hour prior to your start time.
Body marking, timing chip and registration will be ongoing throughout the event.
What Do I Do When I Arrive?
Drop your bike and gear in the Transition Area. Set up your transition. Remember to take anything you need for the swim component of the triathlon such as goggles, swim cap, etc. with you.
Report to the Athlete Check-in that will be located in the dryland area of Peter Hemingway Pool. Please provide your first and last name as well as any pertinent medical information.
Body marking as well as timing chip bracelets will be provided at that time.
Parking
Free parking from 6am-2pm at Westmount Shopping Centre (Groat Road and 111 Ave) and Telus World of Science (11211-142 St).
There will be no parking at the Peter Hemingway Fitness and Leisure Centre on race day. Overnight parking will not be permitted and vehicles may be towed.
Participant and visitor parking will be prearranged in the vicinity of the Peter Hemingway Fitness and Leisure Centre but will be limited. Participants may be dropped off and picked up.
