Commonwealth Sports and Fitness Centre Closes During Construction of New Rec Centre

The Commonwealth Sports and Fitness Centre will close to the public on September 1, 2009, to accommodate construction of the new North Centre Community Recreation Centre.

Construction has started on the new North Central Community Recreation Centre at Commonwealth Stadium. The $112.5 million facility will create additional recreation, sports and wellness opportunities for community residents and athletes.
