Kids Den, Indoor Playground & Babysitting Services

Indoor Playground
ACT, Kinsmen, Mill Woods, O'Leary, or Terwillegar For children 6 years old and younger. Parents or guardians must supervise their children. The Indoor Playground is closed on holidays. All indoor playgrounds are socks only environments for adults and children.

Kids Den
Kinsmen Sports Centre , Mill Woods Recreation Centre, or Terwillegar.
Babysitting service for newborns to preschool aged children.

Preschool Wheels
Kinsmen Sports Centre.
Children 6 years old and younger will enjoy riding their bikes on our indoor track and learning about bike safety. Parents or guardians must supervise their children.

History and Nature

John Janzen Nature Centre Drop-in Programs
Drop-in activities may include nature talks, guided walks, crafts, animal feedings, bonfires, composting, and learning about animals and nature in the exhibits room.

John Walter Museum Drop-in Programs
Join us each Sunday from 1-5pm at the John Walter Museum for old fashioned crafts, games, and household activities like sewing, cooking, baking, and much more!

Winter Activities

Snow Shacks and Winter Festivals
Free winter activities for children and families at your neighbourhood playgrounds. Snow shacks are for children aged 6-12 years. The winter festivals are fun for the whole family.

Sports & Youth Activities

124 Youth Program
124 Youth is a community initiative where teens ages 12 to 16 living within Inglewood, Westmount, or Prince Charles neighbourhoods can get involved in recreation. Activities include laser tag, martial arts, golf, bowling, paintball, skating, skiing, snowboarding, swimming, wall climbing, and more!

Skateparks
Skateparks are open from the end of May to the end of August. Skateparks may be used by skateboarders, BMX riders, mountain bikers, and inline skaters. We strongly recommend wearing a helmet and pads and to skate, ride or blade within your abilities. Staff are onsite during peak hours only.

Sports and S.T.E.V.E. Vans
Street Hockey, Basketball, Skateboarding & Ball Games
During the summer the Sports Van drives neighbourhood children and teens to various locations to play street hockey and basketball. The S.T.E.V.E. van drives neighbourhood children and teens to various locations to skateboard, play lacrosse, whiffle ball, cricket, and omni ball. Equipment is provided.

Youth Community League Drop-In Program
Summer drop-in program for youth 11 to 16 years old. Activities change from week to week based on what you want to do including sports, games, henna tattoos, art, drama, crafts, and more!

Playgrounds

Playground Programs (Green Shack)
Summer drop-in free playground program for children ages 6 to 12 years old. Activities include games, sports, crafts, music, drama, and special events.

Water Features
Water Features, spray parks, and spray decks at various locations are open from the end of May until mid September.
