Cross-Country Skiing
Edmonton's expansive river valley and parks system is a perfect cross-country skiing destination.
Each park listed below has an emergency phone. We recommend that you also carry a cell phone, especially if you are skiing alone or at night. Washrooms and shelters are available at all of the parks except Riverside Golf Course (no amenities) and Terwillegar (no shelters).
Edmonton Nordic Club grooms the 10 km of trails in Gold Bar, Goldstick and Capilano parks. The trails at Gold Bar, Capilano, Kinsmen, and Snow Valley are lit at night for evening or night skiing.
