Clareview District Park Development
The City of Edmonton is developing and constructing outdoor sports fields, park spaces and a multi-purpose recreation centre. The Edmonton Public Library is collaborating with the City to build the Clareview Library as part of the recreation centre – a first-of-its-kind facility in Edmonton.

Construction Timelines
Construction of the new recreation centre and library commenced in October 2011. The opening date is targeted for early 2014. The existing arena and hall will close in April 2012 and reopen in 2013.
