Louise McKinney Riverfront Park Features and Photos

  1. Millennium Plaza/Shumka Stage
    A meeting place and entrance to the Oval Lawn as well as accommodating performances; primarily dance and music.
  2. Oval Lawn
    Provides an area for recreation and special events.
  3. World Walk
    An aesthetic horticultural walk through the park.
  4. Chinese Garden
    A celebration of the heritage of our Chinese community, a visually breathtaking and serenely relaxing garden in the north-east corner of the park.
  5. Trans-Canada Trail Pavilion
    The park serves as a link in the nation-wide trail system.
  6. Capital Health Trail
    Provides accessibility to the Riverfront Plaza and Promenade.
  7. Riverfront Plaza and Promenade
    A generous and inviting five metre promenade above the bank, parallel to the North Saskatchewan River; provides a winter shelter for cross-country skiers and includes a public washroom facility for trail users, park patrons and riverfront activities.
  8. Public Dock
    A floating dock for canoes, boating events and private boats and is accessible for persons with disabilities.
