Bonnie Doon Campus Park Concept Plan
The City of Edmonton, Edmonton Public School Board and the community have been exploring the current use and future recreation needs at the Bonnie Doon Campus Park, located on the southeast corner of 90 Avenue and 83 Street in Idylwylde.
Project Update
The site concept plan has been updated and continues to reflect the development of an integrated park site including: Vimy Ridge Academy, Bonnie Doon Leisure Centre, a twin arena, community park amenities, and LRT Line. The Concept Plan proposes new parking and access off 83 Street to minimize traffic and parking on 81 Street.

Background
In 2010 a review of existing site amenities and feedback from stakeholders and the community on their recreation needs helped to shape an integrated site concept plan with new twin arena, field house, and park amenities.
At an April 26, 2010 open house 86% of respondents indicated support for the concept plan (42% support concept and 44% support concept with suggestions to address parking and traffic). New information has come available regarding the recreation needs on the site and the future South East LRT line.
