Weddings held on City Parkland

City parks are public spaces. Please keep in mind that anyone may use the park during your ceremony. Your event may be impacted by weather, other park events, or other people enjoying the park. There is no reserved parking for wedding ceremonies.

Open Parkland

Ceremony on parkland on a non-booked site. If your gathering will have 50 or more people, this type of event is issued a Confirmation of Use. There is no cost for a Confirmation of Use, however no set-up of any structures is permitted. A Confirmation of Use gives permission for the activity to occur, but does not guarantee a specific site in the park.

*Contact the Civic Events Office to book an open parkland site: 780-944-7740 or civic.events@edmonton.ca

Picnic Site, Gazebo or the Borden Park Bandshell

This option provides for a booked space to hold your event. There is a cost per hour for booking these sites, which varies with the facilities provided. Set-up of additional structures may be permitted on these sites. Guidelines for use of picnic sites apply to these sites.

*Call 311 and ask for park bookings to book a specific site in a park.
