Situated on the edge of downtown Edmonton, Commonwealth Stadium’s central location is ideal for spectators from any part of the city and capital region. With the Stadium Station LRT, Park and Ride capabilities and nearly 800 on-site parking stalls, there is enough capacity to efficiently move spectators to and from events. The stadium also offers several load-in and load-out options for both the floor level and concourse areas.
Be a good fan and neighbour — As football games are classified as major events, residential parking restrictions are in effect for 2 hours from the start of the game. Please park legally and treat the community like it’s your own.
As Commonwealth Stadium ages, the City recognizes the need for upgrades to align with modern event standards and enhance the overall spectator experience. These upgrades will improve concourse flow and address challenges such as concession access and overall accessibility.
The project is currently approved to perform required repairs and ongoing maintenance. The full scope of work required to modernize the stadium requires a substantial capital investment. If and when that funding is approved, design and construction of the stadium modernization can begin.
